The Australian: Source Certain readying IPO for later this year

A global increase in focus on supply chain issues and uptake of innovative technologies that facilitate transparency and trust are driving large changes at Source Certain. Our Managing Director, Cameron Scadding sat down with The Australian's technology editor, David Swan to discuss the intention to IPO by late 2021. The company started in 2016 and has since seen the addition of a sales and marketing team, alongside an expanded research and development department. The existing whole of industry programs with Australian Farmed Barramundi, Australian Prawns, and Tasmanian cherries are being joined by multi-year deals made with international companies. Collectively the exponential interest in our technology is driving a need to expand.


"Perth-based provenance verification provider Source Certain International (SCI) is gearing up for an ASX debut later this year, with managing director Cameron Scadding bullish that a renewed focus on supply chain issues, combined with a jump in interest around sustainability and blockchain technologies, are combining to create the perfect conditions for an IPO.

Speaking in an interview, Mr Scadding said that SCI‘s TSW Trace technology – which analyses physical product samples to verify product origin and authenticity – has already been widely deployed across the Australian food industry, including for Australian prawns, farmed barramundi and Tasmanian cherries, and the time was right for an international expansion, including across the US."
