Rob McKenzie brings over 35 years’ of significant experience in corporate and commercial transactions, restructuring and dispute resolution. He works collaboratively with businesses to assist them with major transformational events such as mergers and acquisitions, floats, corporate structuring and restructuring, corporate governance, board and meeting compliance and litigation strategy and conduct. He has acted on a number of significant Australian listed company reconstructions and was a pioneer in the use of insolvency structures such as creditors’ and members’ scheme of arrangement, voluntary administrations, deeds of company arrangement, creditors’ trusts, backdoor listings and reverse takeovers. He was the national chair of the Law Council of Australia Committee. He has had extensive experience in a wide range of industries such as mining, mining services, financial services, education, technology, retail and agriculture. Mr McKenzie has also chaired the WA state subcommittee of the Law Council of Australia Corporations Law Committee and the Law Society of Western Australia’s Commercial Law Committee. He has been regularly recognised for his outstanding contribution to legal practice and was ranked, for example, as a leading Australian restructuring and insolvency lawyer in Chambers Asia Pacific 2016, Who’s Who Legal International 2016, Legal 500 2016 and Doyle’s 2016 and in commercial law, corporate law, corporate/governance practice and franchise law in Best Lawyers in Australia 2016 Edition. Mr McKenzie taught for a decade at the University of Western Australia and has prepared and delivered numerous papers to an array of industry representative bodies.
Cameron Scadding is a Forensic and Analytical Chemist, a globally recognised and respected expert in his discipline with extensive complex forensic investigation experience. Cameron has specific experience and expertise in supply chain integrity, security and managing supply chain risks he is invited to speak regularly on global trends in supply chain integrity, specifically around agri-food, the integrity of food, food fraud, transparency, trust, traceability and provenance. Cameron’s supply chain and forensic skill set has made him a leading consultant and leader in the emerging global cannabis industry with cannabis clients ranging from cultivators, processors, cannabinoid pharmaceutical companies and governments.
In addition to his role as Managing Director of Source Certain, Cameron is a founder and the CEO of TSW Analytical Pty Ltd and TSW Global.; a Perth based scientific investigation, forensic and analytical service and technology company that has been operating since 2006. Cameron has previously held senior research positions in both academia and industry and has served as Director of a not for profit state sporting association.
Anthony Shields is a Director of Source Certain International and the current Managing Director of Asymmetric Investment Management Pty Ltd, a Perth-based investment manager specialising in private debt. Prior to Asymmetric, Anthony established and managed an investment portfolio for a large Family Office in Perth, Western Australia. He was responsible for asset allocation and portfolio management, risk management, investment and macro-economic analysis. He currently sits on the Board of another Perth-based Family Office, advising on investment strategy and portfolio management. Prior to his family office investment roles, Anthony worked for Deutsche Bank in equity and derivatives sales and trading and prior to this for Macquarie Bank as an equity analyst and institutional equity sales and trading.
Winnie Lai Hadad was born in Hong Kong and educated in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Melbourne and Perth. Her qualifications include Juris Doctor, Arts, Commerce and a Master in Science (mineral economics). Winnie has worked in the resources, finance, logistic, and manufacturing industries. She has expertise in change management, corporate governance and business process improvement and has been involved in listings on the Australian Securities Exchange, including companies involved in iron ore (both magnetite and direct shipping ore). She has been involved with both inbound and outbound Chinese investments. Her past roles include implementing Coca-Cola bottling strategies into greater China and administering the first Chinese direct investment in an iron ore mine in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. Winnie has worked for Swire Pacific Ltd, P&O Ports Limited, Paladin Resources Limited, Kerry Group Limited, Rio Tinto Iron Ore and a Perth-based subsidiary of an Asian listed entity focused on iron ore, resources and construction. She is admitted to practice as a lawyer in Western Australia and has worked as a specialist advisor for a national law firm. She is a professional interpreter for Mandarin and Cantonese, holding accreditation by the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and the National Accreditation Authority of Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). She is a member of Corporate Governance Institute, AusIMM, and GAICD. She is a mother of 5, including the youngest daughter at eight who will start Year 4 this year. She travels to China regularly and often invited as guest speaker on emerging trends in China, the art of negotiation with Chinese and topics like "Chinese are not all the same". She has done many workshops and keynote speaking for trends in China.
WINNIE LAI HADAD
Kheam is based in Singapore, where he acts as Chief Investment Officer at Assetwise Capital Management, his family office, together with running a private equity fund investing primarily in Malaysia, Australia and UK. Kheam’s investment sector experience includes real estate, food & beverage, education, telecommunications and liquor.
Kheam’s career has comprised management consulting, investment banking and real estate private equity fund management in Chicago, London, Singapore and Jakarta. Kheam graduated with a BCom and LLB from the University of Western Australia and subsequently obtained an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
Mr Tong Ian is a Malaysian citizen with various business interests. He is the Chairman of Taiga Building Products Ltd which is listed on the TSX, and an Executive Director of Avarga Ltd which is listed on the SGX. Mr Tong is an Executive Director of The Edge Media Group Pte Ltd that publishes The Edge Singapore, The Edge Malaysia, The Edge Financial Daily, among other titles. He is also a Director of The Edge Property Pte Ltd, which owns the property portals EdgeProp.sg and EdgeProp.my. Mr Tong holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Trinity Western University and a Masters in Management from Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia.
